Special Note 

 

Boat launches in Great River Park and Charter Oak Landing will be closed from dusk July 10 to dawn July 12.

Riverside Park boat launch is open, with limited access to the south from dusk July 10 to dawn July 12. On July 11, boats may enter until 8 pm, but must stay on the river until ½ hour after fireworks end that evening; the Riverside Park boat launch will remain open.

 

9 p.m. Fireworks

Montreal International Fireworks Competition Gold medal winner, Atlas Pyrovision, will highlight the largest one-day fireworks celebration in Connecticut.

Road Closures - all closed at 6 p.m.

 

  • Route 2 West-bound, Off Ramp to Pitkin Street (Exit 3)
  • Route 2 West-bound, Darlin Street Off Ramp, on approach to the Founders Bridge
  • Route 2 East-bound, at the Pitkin Street Off Ramp, from the Founders Bridge
  • I-84 East-bound, Exit 53 off ramp to East River Drive. The Connecticut Blvd. exit shall remain open to exiting traffic.
  • I-84 West-bound to the Charter Oak Bridge (Rte 5/15 s/b), Exit 90
  • Eastbound Founder’s Bridge 

Dash shuttle schedule July 9-11

During ConnectiCon and Riverfest celebrations, dash will operate the following extra hours of service in Hartford:

Thursday, July 9 dash service from 7 a.m. to midnight
Friday, July 10 the shuttle operates starting at 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (Saturday)
Saturday, July 11 the dash will be in service from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (Sunday)
 

Biking

Going to Riverfest in Hartford and East Hartford on July 11? Got a bike? There is a group cycling to and from Riverfest fireworks.
