Adult Racing Teams
Racing teams are for experienced athletes only, who will be expected to be proficient in basic rowing skills as with our recreational programs and willing to commit more fully to the training schedule and races.
Financial assistance may be available to adult rowers. To inquire, contact Jonathan Near by email or at (860) 713-3131 ext 314.
All programs are held at the Riverfront Boathouse in Riverside Park.

(NOTE for April: We will practice three (3) days on the water and one (1) day on land. Fridays will be the designated erg day however, if we cannot go out on a Wednesday, we’ll erg Wednesday and row on Friday. This will help maximize water time in the spring.
Annual Racing Team 3-DAY Membership
April 1 – Nov 4
We recognize that, especially with the transition of PM Racing to the mornings, not everyone can attend all 4 days. While we do not expect many athletes to register with this option, we want to make sure it is available to those that need it.
Men’s and Women’s Development Team:
June 3 – August 14
Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri, 5:30 – 7:15 am and Sat 6:30 – 8:30 am
Unlike our other adult racing teams, this program will focus on open/elite events rather than masters. Interested athletes should reach out to Jonathan Near before registering to ensure this is the right program. Seats/race opportunities will be determined by fitness, skill, and boat speed – not all registrants are guaranteed seats in all races.
This is available to collegiate rowers. and as an add on for current Riverfront athletes.
