In early 2018, we sat down with The Professors of Sweet, Sweet Music and talked about creating a new, free, family-friendly festival showcasing local musicians. Our first Hartbeat Music Festival, later that year, was an incredible success. The following year was even better, with more than 20 bands on three stages. We had big plans for 2020’s festival but had to transition to a virtual event, but were thrilled to bring live music back to Mortensen Riverfront Plaza in 2021, and for a two-day festival in 2022!
