Learn to Row

Learn to Row: Sculling
This class is for brand new scullers who may be entirely new to the sport of rowing or trying something new after prior sweep rowing experience. Beginning scullers will start in the wider Alden hulls, and progress to the narrower Peinert, Hudson, and Swift “racing” hulls, using two oars per person. Register using the links below:

Learn to Row: Sweep
Sweep rowing is a type of rowing where each rower has a single oar held with both hands and is oriented around rowing in team boats (4+ people per boat). If you’ve never rowed before, this is the program for you. You’ll learn the basics of the rowing stroke and technique in our training barges with seats for eight sweep rowers.
